What do you get when you cross a turtle with the mafia?Tasked with
creating an anthropomorphic character, I chose the common North American
snapping turtle for its spiky, prehistoric appearance. From initial studies of
a taxidermy turtle and skeleton, through iterations, poses, and expressions I
developed a Mafioso heavyweight with a penchant for aggression.
